Where is my data? Servers in Germany explained

An information screen rarely holds secrets. Even so, logos, prices, staff photos and logins belong in safe hands. Here is what we do about it.

Data centre

Servers in Germany

lumafy runs at Hetzner in German data centres. Your content, images and login data are stored and processed there. The GDPR therefore applies without any detours via third countries.

Nightly backup

Every night we back up the data to a second server. If something ever goes wrong, yesterday’s state is still there.

Two-factor login

A password alone is often not enough. With two-factor login you also need a code from your phone. Someone who knows your password still cannot get into your account.

No trackers in the application

No advertising or analytics trackers run in the lumafy application. What you do there stays between you and us.

Data processing agreement

As soon as personal data is involved, such as names or photos of staff, you need a data processing agreement (DPA). We provide it.

Tip from practice: Check what appears on your screens. Birthdays in the break room are nice, but get your colleagues’ consent first.

Roles and logins

With Pro, everyone gets their own login and only the permissions they need. The counter changes the daily special; head office manages screens and templates. For companies there is single sign-on.
