Setting up the Amazon Signage Stick: step by step
The Amazon Signage Stick turns any screen with HDMI into an information display. lumafy is certified for the stick. Here is how setup works.
What you need beforehand
- A screen with a free HDMI port
- A power socket nearby, ideally right behind the screen
- Wi-Fi with a stable signal at the mounting position, or a network port with a suitable adapter
- A lumafy account, for example the free 14-day trial
Step 1: Connect the stick
Plug the stick into the HDMI port and connect it to the supplied power adapter. Do not use the TV’s USB port as a power source: many devices switch it off in standby, and the stick then restarts every time.
Step 2: Network and basic setup
The stick guides you through language, Wi-Fi and sign-in. Check the Wi-Fi signal at the actual mounting position. Behind a screen on a concrete wall it is often weaker than expected.
Step 3: Select lumafy
Choose lumafy as the application. The app starts and shows a code on the screen.
Step 4: Enter the code
Log in to your lumafy account, add a new screen and enter the code. Then assign a playlist. A few seconds later your content is playing.
What happens next
The screen fetches changes on its own. If the Wi-Fi drops briefly, it keeps showing the last loaded content. lumafy monitors whether the screen is reachable and you can see its status in your account.
Prefer not to use a stick?
Then go for the lumafy Screen. The app is pre-installed; you switch it on and enter the code. No stick, no extra power adapter, one point of contact.
